Welcome to BjLending. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BjLending website, the Verified Bridge platform, and all related services (collectively, the "Services") operated by BjLending ("we," "our," or "us"), based in Lagos, Nigeria. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

1. Description of Services

BjLending operates the Verified Bridge platform, an employment verification and loan onboarding service. Our platform enables employees of partner companies to:

• Verify their employment status against their employer's records.
• Submit loan pre-qualification applications through a streamlined digital process.
• Upload supporting documentation such as payslips for verification purposes.
• Connect with loan processing agents via WhatsApp upon successful verification.

BjLending acts as a verification and onboarding gateway. We are not a bank, financial institution, or direct lender. Loan products, terms, interest rates, and approvals are determined by our lending partners and are subject to their own terms and conditions.

2. Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be a current employee of a company registered in our partner network, or submit a request to onboard your employer.
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
• Provide accurate and truthful information in all submissions.

3. User Obligations

By using our Services, you agree to:

• Provide Accurate Information: All personal details, employment information, and documents you submit must be truthful, accurate, and up to date. Submitting false or misleading information is a violation of these Terms and may result in denial of services and potential legal action.
• Authorized Document Upload: You must only upload payslips and documents that belong to you and that you are authorized to share. Uploading forged, altered, or unauthorized documents is strictly prohibited.
• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials associated with your use of our Services.
• Lawful Use: You must not use our Services for any unlawful purpose or in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair our platform.

4. Verification Process

Our Verified Bridge platform verifies your employment details by cross-referencing the information you provide (name, staff ID) against records maintained by your employer in our system. The verification result will be one of the following:

• Matched: Your details have been successfully verified against your employer's records. You will receive a link to continue your loan application process via WhatsApp.
• Unmatched: Your details could not be verified. This may be due to incorrect information, outdated employer records, or other discrepancies.

Important: A successful verification (Matched status) does not constitute a loan approval, loan offer, or guarantee of funding. Loan decisions are made solely by our lending partners based on their own criteria. BjLending makes no representations or warranties regarding loan approval, amounts, or terms.

5. WhatsApp Communication

By completing a successful verification on our platform, you consent to being redirected to WhatsApp to continue your loan application process. Communication via WhatsApp is subject to Meta's terms of service and privacy policy. BjLending is not responsible for the privacy practices or security of the WhatsApp platform.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our Services — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, the "Verified Bridge" name, software, and design — are the exclusive property of BjLending and are protected by Nigerian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of our Services without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BjLending disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• That the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
• That verification results are error-free or that employer records in our system are complete and up to date.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BjLending, its directors, employees, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or data.
• Damages arising from loan decisions made by lending partners.
• Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your information.
• Damages caused by errors or inaccuracies in employer records.
• Any losses arising from your use of or inability to use our Services.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BjLending, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from or related to your use of our Services, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of false or misleading information.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms.
• Submission of fraudulent or misleading information.
• Conduct that may harm BjLending or other users.
• Requests from law enforcement or government agencies.

Upon termination, your right to use our Services will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall continue to apply.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our Services after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Lagos State, Nigeria.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue available legal remedies.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unenforceable, or illegal by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.
